Yummy low carb pizza idea's

We want to make our blog about recipe ideas that come from our garden as well as the garden itself.
Emily and I are into the whole 'low carb' diet fad at the moment. The pro's and con's of a low carb and sugar diet is a discussion for another day, so I won't go into that here. For those who are interested in low carb food ideas however, here is a good one: Low carb pizza's made with low carb pizza bases. Yes that's correct! You can still enjoy a pizza, without having to worry about the carbs!
The pizza base is made of cauliflowers!
Here is the link to the recipe:

Using the almond meal in the recipe helps turn an otherwise bland tasteless vegetable like cauliflower into something more palatable.

Now for the topping: Use what ever you want on a pizza! Its a pizza, go for your life, supreme, Hawaiian, etc.
The one we have been having with the cauliflower base, comes from a recipe we saw on Masterchef a few weeks ago.

It's quite easy. Simply caramelize 4-5 medium size onions, layer that over your cauliflower base, then top that with about 5-6 quartered raw figs and then cover with a generous serving of gorgonzola and mozzerella cheese. You can then top that off with some oregano (that's the bit we got from the garden; yes there is at least some relation to our garden).
Cook in the oven at about 180 until the cheese has melted and the crust is solid. You can serve the pizza covered with rocket.
Here is a picture of the Masterchef version of this pizza, without the cauliflower base:

Enjoy!
